Wynnstay drivers' strike suspended
- Monday 24 February 2020
Industrial action by HGV drivers working for Wynnstay Agricultural Supplies Limited has been suspended in order to allow conciliation talks, chaired by Acas, to take place. The action by HGV drivers working from both the Llansantfraid and Camarthen depots was due to commence with a 24-hour strike on 2 March.
Talks between the employer and the union will now take place on the same date (2 March).
Jo Goodchild, Unite regional officer, commented: “Unite is hopeful that Wynnstay has reflected on its decision to attack uts employees terms and conditions and will now take a different route. We will enter into these talks in a constructive manner with a view to resolving this dispute in an amicable way. However, if progress is not made then the prospect of industrial action remains firmly on the table."
