communities and Local Government dated 18 January 2008
regarding an informal consultation exercise on Local Government
Pension Scheme Admitted Body Status Provisions. Also below is
a document from the Department
setting out their thinking on the review and finally,
a consultation response
form.
We have been waiting for this consultation for some considerable
time and we should take maximum opportunity of putting our views to
the Department which will need to be reported back to them by 10
April 2008. Whilst this seems to be some time away, your input
would be valuable in order that Bryan Freake, our National Pensions
Officer can draft a response, which can then be circulated for
further comment.
Please could you do all that you can to ensure that colleagues who
have Admitted Body Status schemes take the opportunity of putting
their point of view forward in this consultation exercise and I
would ask you to send replies to
