HP strike at Derby and Bristol - March 2011
Unite members and Representatives on their first ever picket
line at HP in Bristol and Derby on 16 March 2011.
Our members on image terms contacts are striking because HP have
yet again imposed a pay freeze (2009 and 2010). This is on the back
of HP announcing profits in 2010 of $14.4 billion, which is up 14%
year on year. Unite members contribute to HP's success but get no
recognition. They say it's time HP treated them with the dignity
and respect they deserve and enter into real negotiation, not
exploitation.
Kevin O'Gallagher, National Officer, is clear that the Union
will fully support it's members against the unjustified reduction
in real terms of our members earnings when the company is making
huge profits.
