Unite @ HP/EDS

IT charter logoWelcome to the home page of Unite @ HP

If all employers shared the values of Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, unions would add very little value for employees…

Did you know that Mark Hurd, Ann Livermore, Marcela Perez de Alonso and Randy Mott are members of Unite? Just kidding! If they were, your base salary would have kept up with inflation, your pension rights would not have been eroded, there would be no compulsory redundancies and there would still be a transparent and fair employee profit-share at HP.

The aim of Unite @ HP is to get you the best terms and conditions of employment and to provide the advice and support you may need on any work-related matter.

Unite, the largest private sector union in the UK, is based on local democracy and support for the individual member. It has a proven track record in campaigning and legal successes.

HP UK Management have a legal duty to consult with your employee representatives. But because your reps currently have no bargaining power, Mark Hurd and Randy Mott know that the UK employees are an easier target for cost-cutting measures than employees in other European countries where union membership is higher and unions are recognised by HP. Unite already has a large and growing number of members in HP UK (your membership is kept anonymous), and it is already recognised in parts of EDS. Join us now and you will immediately get union support as an individual. If a large enough number of HP employees join, we can legally obtain bargaining power to defend your salary and your pension. We will always act responsibly, getting a fair deal for HP employees which is easily affordable without harming the company’s success.

Someone, somewhere is always working to improve the working lives of Unite members.

Unite @ HP is working to improve yours.

It really is in your best interests to be a member. Together we can win a better deal at HP.

LET’S DO IT with Unite @ HP!
