Since starting my career in the NHS in 1983, I
have trained and worked to represent Union members. As an RCM rep I
successfully represented Midwives on a Grading appeal panel.
As HVA Rep in East Dorset I won the fight to regrade CNNs as well
as ensure that CPTs were on substantive H grade posts. I became
Staff Side trainer for A4C in Dorset before moving to Torbay where
I am currently Staff Side Secretary, Health and Safety Rep, Lead
Staff Side A4C Rep, sitting on the Quality Assurance panel for Job
Evaluation and KSF outlines. Recently elected as South West
Regional Secretary on the National Professional Committee, I
believe I can combine the professional issues facing Health
Visiting with a strong commitment to the wider Union and workplace
issues.
