Gaynor Kershaw
Gaynor qualified as a health
visitor in 1983 and works for NHS Heywood, Middleton and
Rochdale.
Gaynor takes a positive and forward looking
approach in regards to the government’s health agenda. She says
that the NHS is forever changing, so it is important that
practitioners keep abreast of the wider NHS agenda.
The North West has had some excellent chairs
over the years, she will endeavour to carry on their good work,
especially that of her successor, Dave Munday who now works as a
professional officer for Unite/CPHVA.
In the mid 1990s, Gaynor was seconded to a SRB
initiative (Partnership Education Project). From 1998 until July
2007, she was the nurse member on the Professional Executive
Committee (PEC) of the PCT, between September 2005 and July 2007
she held the position of board nurse.
Gaynor has recently taken up the position of
Chair of the Editorial Board.
