Chaplaincy Standards and Competencies
CHCC
is the UK-wide professional membership organisation for chaplains
working in health care settings. CHCC recognises and
promotes the following standards and competencies for
practitioners. These documents complement one another across
the UK mainland (England, Scotland and Wales) and are also those
recognised and promoted by the voluntary chaplaincy regulator, the
UKBHC.
These standards have been agreed in consultation and with the
endorsement of working health care chaplains, and we encourage
practitioners to promote these widely recognised standards to
colleagues and employers.
