Unite artists and designers to get 4% pay deal
Friday, 15th June 2007
Artists and Designers working under the Art
Studios and Directories National Agreement are to be balloted on a
4% pay offer.
The Art Studios and Directories National
Agreement covers artists and designers working on the production of
adverts for the Yellow Pages telephone directories at Pindar Set
Studios in Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham and at the Yell
Studio in Slough.
Commenting on the pay deal Unite (Amicus
section) Assistant General Secretary, Tony Burke, said:
"We are pleased with the agreement,
which is to go to ballot. Yellow Pages directories are facing stiff
competition from new entrants to the market and from the continuing
increase in the use advertising on the web and on Yell's own web
site so our reps from the studios are strongly recommending the
deal."
