Cision votes for Unite

25 February 2009

Workers at Cision Media monitoring have voted overwhelmingly for Unite to represent them for collective bargaining. The employees recorded a massive 95% in favour of a ballot vote of 76 for any and 4 against.

This has been a long drawn out process with petitions being held and lots of hard work carried out by Tony Newbery, Regional Officer and Senior Shop Floor Reps, Karen Barber and Eddie Connelly.

Steve Sibbald, Unite National Officer, said "Time and again when people are given the opportunity of voting for Trade Union Representation and Collective Rights there is almost always overwhelming support when there is no management intimidation. Congratulations to all those Reps and Members who put in all the work."
