Social Enterprise - briefing document
Social enterprises are organisations that provide goods and
services as part of the social economy sector; this group
constitutes a collection of organisations that exist between the
traditionally private and public sectors and has a stronger
relationship with the Community and Non-profit sector.
Social Enterprises are a growing presence within the so
called "Third Sector" and are being strongly pushed by government
through its public sector reform agenda.
