Workers and Not for Profit sector
Unite is the lead
union for the not for profit sector, setting out a progressive
agenda to support all who work for charities, professional bodies,
housing associations and many other workplaces, from the very large
to those that employ only one or two people.
Unite believes that when workers come together, that they
don’t only resolve work-related issues, but also change many of the
professional issues too. Unions have always been about giving
support to one another, therefore the larger the membership the
more we are able to achieve. Unite adds value.
Your contribution matters. Your membership matters.

Not only do you receive professional support when the twists and
turns of life challenge normal working practices, but through being
a member you can contribute to what happens in your workplace,
input into the decision making processes in society and also
provide strength and support to other workers.
Members of Unite campaign for:
- Better funding arrangements to support their organisations
- Improved pay, pensions, terms and conditions and workplace
policies
- A zero tolerant approach to bullying and discrimination
- A reduction in stress, a good work-life balance and
flexibility
- Safe work environments
- Opportunities for learning and development both professionally
and personally
Unite makes a difference to you, your colleagues, your
organisation, your service users and your society.
So Join Unite
today and help make the difference too.
