NB: The Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) –
prepares all council meetings. Every issue passes through Coreper
before they can be included on the agenda for a Council meeting.
Coreper works in two configurations which deal with different
subjects:
- Coreper I, consisting of the deputy permanent representatives,
deals with technical matters;
- Coreper II, consisting of the ambassadors, deals with
political, commercial, economic or institutional
matters.
