Ban for seal products in the EU

The socialist Group in Parliament's view on this subject was
largely followed by the members of the IMCO Committee. Below
position was supported :
- ban the use of products made from killing seals,
- defend an exemption for the Inuit communities of Northern
Europe.
Arlene Mc Carthy, our MEP for the North-West who also chairs the
Parliament's Internal Market Committee (IMCO) is strongly backing
this ban.
Next steps:
- 1st April 09: Plenary vote (in Brussels)
