Working with the Community - Everton Taxi project Oct 2011
This quarter the taxi project has sponsored a
local football team. The team plays in the Bellevale League
at under 12’s. The 
project has bought
the kit and had the Unite Taxi Education logo on the front of the
kit.
This has had a positive input into the team as
they were in financial difficulty and couldn’t afford a new kit for
this season. It has also allowed members of the community to
find out more information about what the project has done for taxi
drivers.
Another member of the assessor’s team are also
involved in a Childs football team in India and there are plans to
sponsor this team also.
Also within the Everton Community Centre, the
taxi project has raised funds to help create a new landscape of the
local community as a memorial which has been placed at the entrance
of the centre and can be seen by everyone who enters.
