                                        Adult Learners’ Week: 15th - 20th May 2011

Adult Learners’ Week is the UK’s largest and longest running festival of learning, it aims to encourage more adults to take part in learning activities and events across the UK as well as celebrating the outstanding achievements of inspirational learners through the Adult Learners’ Week Awards.

Unite get involved each year as a way of supporting our members develop new learning and skills. Unite Union Learning Reps (ULRs) beaver away in workplaces up and down the country to get interesting and varied activities going.  If you get the chance - go along and see what is on offer, and try something new during the week.

The Thurday in the week is historically Learning at Work Day. Unite ULRs are involved in highlighting learning and skills training available in your area. Take the opportunity to try 'taster' sessions of different skills and activities.

For more information, you can contact your Regional Learning Organiser ( Click here for contact details) or your local ULR in your workplace.
