The European Mine, Chemical and Energy Workers' Federation

EMCEF represents 2.5 million workers in 35 countries and 128 national trade unions. One otherorganisation has the status as observer. EMCEF affiliatesrepresent both blue and white-collar workers in a wide range of industrial areas including:

  • Pharmaceutical
  • Rubber
  • Plastics
  • Glass
  • Pulp and Paper
Sectoral Committees deal with industrial, technical and legal matters relevant for these industries.
 
On a cross-sectoral basis EMCEF also has committees which deal with the issues of collective bargaining, European Works Councils, industrial relations (including health and safety and the environment) and social dialogue.
