Unite's reaction to latest unemployment figures

Unite joint general secretary, Derek Simpson, said: "This is no
time for complacency, a fragile recovery is underway thanks to the
actions of Gordon Brown and a Labour government. The Tories want to
shift into reverse and hit the accelerator.
“It is now more important than ever to stop the
Tories jeopardising Britain's future. The savage cuts they are
proposing could mean the loss of one million public sector jobs and
tens of thousands in the private
sector."
