Talks to be held with Thomas Cook over nearly 500 cabin crew
redundancies
28 October 2011
Talks between Thomas Cook and Unite are due to be held next
Wednesday (2 November) over plans to make 498 cabin crew
redundant.
The talks, expected to be in Manchester, come after the cabin
crew, members of Unite, the UK’s largest union, voted
overwhelmingly in a consultative ballot in favour of industrial
action.
Unite regional officer, Mick Whitley said: ”The company and
Unite are due to meet next Wednesday for what we hope will be
meaningful consultations.”
