Workers' Memorial Day
Wednesday 28th April 2010
Every year, on this day, trade unions and workplace health and
safety campaigners all over the world focus
on the issue of workers' health and safety. The day is the
anniversary of the creation of the US and Canadian occupational
safety and health administrations. It has been a global day of
action since 1996 when it was taken up by the International
Confederation of Free Trade Unions, and it is now marked every year
in more than 100 countries.
