Unite's first policy conference will be held in Manchester nest
week:
- Monday, May 31 until Thursday, June 3, 2010
- Manchester Central Convention Centre, Manchester Central,
Petersfield, M2 3GX

Joint general secretary Tony Woodley will address the conference
on Monday morning. Brendan Barber, TUC general secretary,
will address the conference on Wednesday while on Thursday, Harriet
Harman, leader of the opposition will speak.
Derek Simpson, joint general secretary, will deliver his
conference speech on Thursday afternoon.
The four-day conference will see over 700 Unite activists gather
to decide the union's policies on the most pressing issues facing
workers today, including support for manufacturing and defending
the public services. Key debates will include the question of
Trident renewal and the steps needed to ensure the Labour party
reconnects with working people.
