Unite maintains dialogue with Lufthansa is ongoing

The Unite trade union, as part of the employee works council,
expects to meet with management of Lufthansa Technik Airmotive in
the coming days to hold further talks arising out of yesterday’s
staff rejection of a Labour Court recommendation on changed work
practices and this evening’s issuing of protective notice to
workers at Rathcoole.
“We want to maintain dialogue between our members and the
company management,” said Unite regional officer Willie
Quigley.
“Yesterday’s vote was close and we believe there is still some
common ground which will result in a deal that protects jobs, the
conditions of our members and the future of the company in
Ireland.”
