Workers memorial event Wallsend:

The wreath was paid for by the Nissan Branch and presented at St
Luke's Church, Wallsend by Alan Armitage, Shop Steward &
H&S Rep and Dave Eley, H&S Rep, who both work at
Nissan.

Alan Armitage and Dave Eley standing with Ian McFall from
Thompsons, Ian is at the fore front of the campaign to restore
compensation payments for Pleural Plaques victims, he gave a speech
at the Wallsend Memorial Hall before the church service at St
Luke's which is only a few hundred yards from the now derelict
shipyards such as Swan Hunters where so many workers contracted
Asbestos related diseases like Mesothelioma, many of these former
employee's have died, including Alans Uncle, Sid Dunkerley and
sadly many more are still suffering.

in the Grounds of the War Memorial Nunn’s Corner Grimsby:
Both the events in Immingham and
Grimsby (also Cleethorpes) were organised by Herbert (Nobby) Styles
who every year for the past eight years spends months of his
spare time ensuring that these events take place. He organises and
fronts each service of rememberance of those who have been killed
at work and their families.
