As a student health visitor, how do I ensure I will pay the correct
subscription rate?
Student health visitors are required to pay £41.04 for their
membership. This is a one-off Direct Debit payment that will give
you union cover for a period of 12 months.
A student CPHVA membership also includes a monthly subscription
to the Community Practitioner Journal.
In order to access the correct rate when you join online, please
ensure that you enter the “Recruitment Code” CPHVAS when
prompted.
As a student you do not require
professional indemnity insurance. If you are studying
part-time and also working and receiving a salary you will need to
pay the part-time (up to 21 hours) or full time subscription -
which includes £3 million indemnity cover.
