Campaign to value public services

INVESTMENT - NOT CUTS!

Unite is committed to defending and valuing public services for all, and the people who work in public services. The ConDem government has made clear its plans for massive cuts in public spending over the next 4-5 years that will cut public services deeply. If successful this will lead to widespread job losses and service closures that will scar our local communities and damage the national economy, possibly pushing us back into recession. There is an alternative - we need economic growth through investment in public services - not cuts.

Unite value our public services and the people who work to deliver those services. Imposing a pay cut in real terms and attacking the pensions of public sector workers are clearly in the sights of the ConDem government.

That’s why we and the rest of the trade union movement are determined to fight cuts and attacks on pay, pensions and services in every workplace, in every local community and nationally. Be a part of our 'Valuing Public Services' campaign by downloading the resources we will be adding to this webpage.

If you work in local government we have developed specific campaign materials for you in our  'People, Pay and Pensions' campaign.

If you work in the NHS we have developed specific campaign materials for you in our 'HealthB4Profit' campaign.

If you work in Higher Education we have developed specific campaign materials for you in our Defend Education campaign.
